Preparation of the installation

First of all you have to create a new folder in the htdocs directory of Apache2.

In this folder, the TikiWiki SVN directory is checked out. Here you need the program "Subversion".

Command to check out:

 svn checkout https://svn.code.sf.net/p/tikiwiki/code/branches/14.x . 

The dot at the end ensures that the checkout process is carried out in the current folder, otherwise a subfolder with the version number is created

Under Windows (TortoiseSVN), if SVN is installed, you can check out the directory by right clicking on the folder "SVN Checkout".

When TikiWiki has been checked out, copy all the contents from the Perforce folder

 Perforce://depot/Maintenance/main/TikiWiki-Changes/Classix-changes/* 

to the root directory of TikiWiki.

Then you go to the TikiWiki directory using your browser

 http://server-adresse/tikiwiki-ordner 

The installation of TikiWiki should now begin automatically.

If you get the message that you should run the "Setup.sh", you have to copy ma with a command line interface into the TikiWiki directory and enter the command

 sh setup.sh 

execute.

The command requires both shell and PHP to be installed. Under Windows (Git Bash) you have to set the "Path Variable" to the PHP directory to install PHP.

All the options of the shell script can be confirmed by pressing Enter until the script has finished running.

If this is the case, you can refresh the TikiWiki page in your browser and you should see the correct installation page.

Installation of TikiWiki

The following settings should be considered when installing the TikiWiki.

First of all, you have to change the language to German.

On the next two pages you can simply leave the dialogues as they are and keep pressing.

The database type remains as preset.

Computer name: The name of the MySQL server, or its IP address

Database name: Name of the database in which TikiWiki should store the data

Username: Username of the MySQL user who is authorised to write to the database

Password: The password of the MySQL user

The remaining settings can remain as they are.

The other pages can be confirmed as they are until you reach the page "Other settings 2

the following settings must be made here

Browser title: Enter the title here, for the wrapper the form "Customer name - ClassiX documentation" is used

Only visible for administrators: This checkbox is confirmed, otherwise normal users will get PHP error messages

Administrator E-mail: The email address of the super-admin, also called root, is entered here.

All further dialogues remain as preset until you reach the "Call Tiki" page. Here you press the button "Enter the Tiki and lock the installer".

Configuring TikiWiki

After TikiWiki has been installed, you can log in with your Admin Account.

When you log in as administrator for the first time, you should automatically be taken to the various "Wizards". Alternatively, you can use the button with the three dots "..." at the top of the screen to access the wizards. Here you select the "Start Configuration Wizard" and set the following.

Set up Date and Time

Display sequence of the fields: Day Month Year

Set up Look & Feel

Site title: Title of the page, for the wrapper the format "Customer name - ClassiX documentation

Logo source (image path): classix/ClassiXSegel_Links_Shadow.png

Favicon File name of the symbol: classix/classix_icon.png

Selected Editor type

Wysiwyg: confirm to activate the Wysiwyg editor

Set up Wiki environment

Structures: tick off, as structures are required for the menus

Set up File Gallery & Attachments

Use eIFinder UI: tick off

Set up File storage

Check the option "Set elFinder as the default file gallery viever".

Installation of the ClassiX TikiWiki wrapper

To use the ClassiX TikiWiki Wrapper, some files from Perforce must be copied into the root directory.

For the design copy the ClassiX-Stylesheet folder

 Perforce://depot/Maintenance/main/TikiWiki-Changes/classix-stylesheet 

into the main directory of the TikiWiki and renames it to "Classix".

Then go to the TikiWiki control panel (the button with the three dots "..." in the header) and click on the icon, which looks like a filter

and selects "Advanced" and "As Standard" there.

Once you have changed the filter option click on"Look and Feel" in the control panel and go to the tab"Customize".

Under"Custom HTML content" enter

<link href="classix/classix_appswh.css" rel="stylesheet">

and click Save at the bottom. Now the TikiWiki should look like the ClassiX TikiWiki.

Next, copy the files from the folder

 Perforce://depot/Maintenance/main/TikiWiki-Changes/Wrapper 

to the root directory of TikiWiki.

Now the wrapper should work.

You can test this by visiting the local Wiki at

 http://Servername/tikiwikiordner/de_AppsWH_modoview 

is called.

Optional TikiWiki Configuration

To display + symbols instead of folders for a menu, use the search function in the control panel to search for"folders" and uncheck"Display menus as folders".

To display the "Pageslugs" also as URLs, search for"Sefurl" in the control panel and check"Search engine friendly URL".
